I spoke to Hunter on Wed (so did all three of his cousins) and he sounded the best I’ve ever heard him since this ordeal started! I actually felt like a major breakthrough had been made!
He asked me to make him some seafood gumbo and I am doing that today so I can overnight it to Beau for his birthday (November 13) he will be 21. He also told me he plans to come to my house in Lafayette for Thanksgiving, but I don’t know if this is approved by the Dr’s. He was so positive and upbeat!!!!!!!
Thank you Blake for all you have done!

Hunter wants to come to good ole Louisiana for Thanksgiving! So, so Hunter! He is such a family guy and I know wants the Thanksgiving spread! For those of you who don’t know somehow, I’ve earned the title “the Iron Chef” even when he couldn’t talk he would write that to his DR’s. I was scared someone would ask me “ok so go cook…” and I would have to figure out how to make mac and cheese or rama noodles gormet!!!!!! But Hunter would have told them I could!!!!
Hunter you are the best, my first born kid who stole my heart from the beginning. And I’ve never gotten it back…
To all new readers, Hunter is the best!!!! I wish everyone could know him.

Hunter, I met someone who I think you will be so happy to meet. Her husband went through a similar thing as you but he lost his life in a San Antonio hospital. She really cares for you and knows what you are going through. I will introduce you to her when you get here.

Hunter, I’m just so grateful that you are back home and ALIVE!! Stay well, keep getting better and better — sounds like that seafood gumbo will fix you up. I’m Italian so I know the “healing power” of food and family.

Hello Hunter. I am the fiance of a soldier who lost his battle to PTSD. December 9 marks 1 year hes been gone. I miss him so bad sometimes its hard for me to breath. I heard about your story and I wanted to reach out to you. You’ve been through so much and I understand. Believe me…as someone on the outside..who didnt go to war but saw the aftermath of what they come home to. You are a hero. You’ve gone through what most people in this world will ever see and you made it. Every single one of the men and women who left their lives behind to go to war, you are truly wonderful people. I hold so much respect and admiration for what youve had to endure! Please keep going. As my fiance would have said. “Keep it up kid… youre doin fine”. Life is beautiful no matter how hard things get. There are more people than you know out there that love you and respect you and wish you well. Youre in my prayers daily! You ARE strong! You ARE a hero! Dont give up the fight! Big hugs to you!

In honor of SGT. Jacob R. Blaylock (my angel)
    May you heal quickly!
    Heidi Plumley
